Building and Managing the construction of Renovations or Custom Homes and making our clients dreams come true is key to our customer service philosophy. We have on staff a Built GreenTM BC graduate along with a Certified Energy Advisor, who can energy model your home and advise you on maximizing your energy efficiency.

Having been in the industry for 20 years, all of our Project Managers and Site Supervisors are registered in the Canadian Construction Gold Seal program and have the GSI certification, and our Senior Project Manager has a professional designation in project management and is certified as a PMP.

Each house we build has complimentary access to our staff Interior Decorator to help with product selections, colours, and interior finishes. DGPM works with local designers if you need plans, or input into the design of your new home or renovation.

We work with several contract models, including Construction Management (CM) that allows you to do some work yourself, saving money, while still having the overall monitoring and control of a professional.

Project Management:

Repeated studies show that a significant number of projects fail, and that the contributing factor to these failures, is a lack of Project Management.

Let our experience make your project run more smoothly. As your Project Managers, we represent your interests on a project and help the different teams and stakeholders plan the project, documents that plan, and then oversee its members while they execute the plan.

We manage the schedule, ensuring each team member's efforts are as productive and efficient as possible, use controls to monitor spending against the budget, and forecast the cost of the uncompleted work to anticipate budgeting issues. Our job is to keep you and your management team up to date and informed on progress and issues, control and monitor change, provide risk assessment, and manage those risks.

As the PM, we facilitate and enable each team member to do his or her job well, steering them in the right direction, and navigate your project through the complex process of a successful project.

Construction Management:

(CM) differs from General Contracting in it uses a team approach to the construction of your building.

Rather than being presented with the subtrades that will be working on your project, along with a lump sum price, a Construction Manager solicits bids from various sub-trades who will best suite the design and style of your project, and involves you in the selection of your Construction team. The CM approach is also flexible enough to incorporate any work that you as the owner would like to do yourselves. The process is more open and transparent, with you being involved in the budget control process.

The CM team approach allows the design team to be involved in the construction of the building right through to the final cleaning and occupancy. Known as Integrated Design and Construction, this process results in better communication, a more flexible process, better quality control, and more transparent financial control. The costs are typically the same as any General Contractor, producing better overall value to the project, and may often reduce the Design fees.
